How does your pet show their remorse when they are found to be naughty? Do they place their guilty heads in your lap or give you a million kisses? Maybe they run to their favorite hiding spot in hopes if you can’t find them, their bad deed didn’t happen?
Loving an animal means we love them unconditionally, even when they are doing something they are not supposed to be doing. Whether those deeds range from digging in the trash bins to digging up your newly planted garden, we love them. Or perhaps it is us continuing to love our animals after they have chewed up our one hundredth pair of shoes. Maybe it is you coming home to what looks like a winter wonderland in your living room, when you realize that white stuff isn’t snow, it is the cushion to your brand-new sofa.
Still we love them.
